Clerk to the Governing Body
I have been the Clerk to the Governing Body since I joined the school in 2013. During that time, I have completed the NCTL National Clerks Development Programme.
In my role as clerk, I act impartially to support the governing body and providing advice on governanace, constitutional and procedural matters. I also provide administrative support to the governing body and ensure they are properly constituted.
As a member of staff and parent at the school, I understand the importance of the role the govering body plays in overseeing the school and ensuring the children at Orchard Community Primary receive the best possible start in life. In my role as clerk, I work closely with the Headteacher and Chair of Governors to ensure the governing body complete their statutory responsibilities.
