Welcome to Orchard Community Primary School

Welcome to the Orchard Community Primary School website, which we hope will provide you with an insight into our vibrant, creative and happy school and the exciting journey we’re on to become outstanding.

This website provides only a brief introduction to the unique experience we offer children at Orchard.

Whether your child is starting school for the very first time or joining us mid-way through the academic year, we would like to extend a warm invitation to visit us, and see for yourselves the first-class care and high-quality learning activities and experiences on offer.

Please click on the image below to have a virtual tour around the School. Created by our students.

Orchard School and Symphony Learning Trust are committed to making our website as accessible as possible to all users.  Our website can be adapted in the following ways to make it more accessible:-

  • Readable text and contrast – We use clear fonts, appropriate colour contrast, and resizable text options to assist users with visual impairments.
  • Captions and transcripts – Any videos on our site include subtitles or transcripts for those with hearing impairments.
  • Adjustable content – Users can modify text size, contrast, or spacing without breaking the website layout.
  • Keyboard Navigation –  Our website can be partially navigated using a keyboard without having to make any changes to accessibility settings.

Going forward we are committed to adding Text alternatives to images, charts, and other non-text content, so that this descriptive alternative text can be used by screen readers to describe them.

Some of our historic PDFs cannot be read by screen readers but newer documents can.  If required paper copies of all policies and forms can be requested from the School Office.  Please contact them on (Tel: 01332 810078) for help.
