Policy Statement and Principles
At Orchard Primary School, we believe that the safety and protection of all pupils is paramount and that all staff, including volunteers, as well as governors, play a full and active part in providing early help to protect pupils from harm. Fully committed to carrying out our statutory responsibilities regarding safeguarding and promoting the welfare of its pupils, we aim to provide a safe and caring environment where children are respected and valued, feel secure, and where their health and well-being is a priority.
All employees are alert to the signs of abuse and neglect, and take any concerns and allegations seriously with appropriate response, following school procedures to ensure pupils receive effective support, protection and justice.
